Cat #22

Date installed: 2011 and August 2023

Appearance: A Black cat, lurking in the shop window. 

Origins: To make the York Cat Hunt into a full circle, the owners of The Cat Gallery added Cat #22 in 2011 soon after Cat #1 was installed. Originally, a different cat would feature each month, but in 2023 a new permanent cat was installed.  Designed and commissioned by The Cat Gallery, the Original York Lucky Cat was modelled from this elegant lifesize cat.

His name forms part of the York Cat Hunt Quiz and is clearly labelled in the window.
